FROM SCOTLAND TO THE BROWN SNAKE
Cast your mind back to when Kevin 07 was in office and Australia was recovering from the loss of Steve Irwin (or maybe don't think about that).
Well two Scotsmen were on the verge of something revolutionary and relatively unknown. Craft beer. They got into some serious debt and started brewing hardcore craft beer, bottling by hand and selling at local markets. From there, the emotional roller coaster of BrewDog took off and the world of craft beer has never been the same.
In 2019, after spreading our beer across the globe, we opened our first Australian outpost in Brisbane, on the banks of the Brown Snake. While we can't say our DogTap Brisbane was "a success overnight" thanks to a global pandemic, it has become an icon on the river and a staple venue in the local community. Thanks to our dedicated fans and friendly neighbors, we were confident enough to expand to a new location in Brisbane's Fortitude Valley as well as beautiful sites in Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth.
We are proud to brew in Brisbane and call it home. While you can always get cult classics like Elvis Juice and Hazy Jane, we've got plenty of world-class and award-winning beers found only in Australia. Whether you're a seasoned hop head trying to crank the IBUs with a pint of Jack Hammer IPA or out with the family on a Sunday afternoon (trying to smash a pint of Jack Hammer IPA) we've got something for you!

We welcome all and take pride in offering plenty of thoughtful, vegetarian and vegan options. As with everything BrewDog does, we don't hold back. Big burgers, bigger pizzas, spicier wings, sweeter desserts. Indulge a bit!
